GED EXAM PREPARATION via WEB CONFERENCE
Location: Beaver County Service Centre
10 weeks sessions start September, January, and April from 5:00 pm – 8:00 pm
The Academic Express GED (General High School Equivalency Diploma) Preparation Program provides the skills to challenge the GED Exam. Instruction is given in basic math, reading skills, and writing skills. Students receive a High School Equivalency Diploma from Alberta Education upon passing the GED Exam.
Students must be very committed to take this program, an intake interview will occur to make sure it is the right fit for you.
No Fee, funded by Government of Alberta, Advanced Education.
LAWYER INFORMATION SESSIONS
Personal Representative, Wills & Estate Planning Information Session
2 hour sessions at the Beaver County Council Chambers, Ryley Alberta
Every year, we are fortunate to have local lawyers share their legal expertise in Beaver County. This year’s information session is about Personal Representatives. Join us to learn about the duties and some of the common mistakes made by Personal Representatives, tips for wills and estate planning documents. The presentation will be followed by a brief Q & A (if time allows).

FIRST AID COURSE
Standard First Aid, CPR and AED Training
2 day courses from 9:00 am to 4:30 pm
Instruction is provided by a certified First Aid instructor. Participants will receive instruction in Standard First Aid, CPR and AED training. These courses are scheduled in the fall and spring (depending on demand). Successful learners receive Red Cross First Aid Certificates through the Red Cross.

Norquest College offers a wide range of non-credit, short, interactive courses that can be taken entirely online through their partner, ed2go. These online courses are affordable, fun, fast, convenient and designed to help learners build skills and confidence to further their studies and to begin new careers. Some courses are self-paced with online-anytime enrolment. Others are instructor led with specific start and end dates. Tuition varies with each course. Check out ed2go website here.
